SkyVault Apprentice Training
Ages 10 - adult
October 2015 - June 2016*
The Minnesota SkyVault Theatre Company is the touring and professional-level performance group of Northland Words. Actors are typically age 17 thru adult.
Beginning this fall, we'll offer training opportunities for actors wanting to pursue SkyVault involvement, which would include our spring Shakespeare production and late summer Renaissance Festival participation. Director Daved Driscoll will interview those interested in such training, and actors will be divided into groups depending on experience, ability and commitment level. (We're offering this same training in the Twin Cities metro area this fall, as we seek to expand the SkyVault troupe.) The SkyVault training will focus on improv, music, physical acting, and audience interaction.
Please contact Artistic Director Daved Driscoll for more information.
Rehearsals will be held at the new Words Players Warehouse building at 920 2nd. St. NE.
Join the SkyVault troupe each month for a fun-filled evening of improv.
7:30 to 8:30 pm
Locations to be announced.
Words Players Theatre will open 2016 with two original youth theatre productions, written and performed by members of the Words Players troupe. Story writing and music composing began in November.
Children’s Troupe playwrights are working now on a brand-new musical called Book Travelers, where young adventurers travel back in time and into the pages of children's books, to restore happy endings that were maliciously altered by an evil villain.

The concept meetings for the Junior Troupe musical have resulted in some interesting plot elements, including a few inspired by Phantom of the Opera and High School Musical, and the writing team is hard at work developing a script and score. The current working title for the production is The Phantom of the High School Musical.
